I'm home

Although it took almost 6 hours to get home because of traffic, so I stopped and went shopping along the way. It was nice to sleep in my own bed, and see my husband of course. Turns out my dad was right and the physical therapists were doing things not according to his doctor's plans. It wasn't just him being grumpy. PA #3 arrives Monday with a therapy plan approved by his doctor.

Tony continues to "make progress" on the donor front, but we certainly haven't chosen one. He did send some emails out to his friends (which I cannot believe), so we'll see if they respond. He also talked to some lady in CA who would find us an Italian donor, for a fee. Honestly I'm just going with the flow and not getting stressed at all. This is just part of the process for Tony and he'll eventually come around when he realizes how much more it will cost to fly in a donor from another state. I'm very busy right now with work, my business and my social life, so I'm in no hurry at all.

Nothing new on that house yet, although the builder is attempting to help us solve the problem of what to do with our current house. It does not involve selling, it is another alternative. We'll see; we aren't getting our hopes up, but the builder calls Tony every other day, so he does seem determined to make a deal. If it doesn't pan out, we will continue to live happily in our current house (although I've given Tony my list of home improvement projects - granite and tile back splash in kitchen, new light fixtures in kitchen and nook, new exterior light fixtures, drapes in family room, deck, and finished basement - hee heee).

I'm going to pick tomatoes at my in-laws house now, and then I will start making my tomato sauce. I'll post the recipe and pictures when I'm done with it. I may try to make some homemade tomato basil soup as well.

Glad that your dad got a new PT that his doctor approves of.

Yum - Tomato basil soup!

And, you do have your hubby figured out when it comes to the home improvement projects, don't you? ;)

Glad you made it back safely. It's great that your dad is making improvements. Good for him with the PT changes.

I'm very impressed with your patience with the egg donor search. I know you are doing the right thing by letting him explore and see for himself, but it would probably make me crazy all the same. I am impatient, ha ha.

Have fun with the tomatos!

Sorry about the double publish, I hit it twice because it was going so slow. I didn't know it would do that! ;p

Ha! For a fee I bet a lot of people would find you an Italian donor.
Glad you're not in a hurry - it sounds like Tony is trying to chug along though - it's kind of cute.
Mmm...the soup sounds yummy. I need to stop reading blogs when I am hungry.
