Back On-line

Yeah we have our internet, cable tv and phone back on at home!! It was a long 5 days without them. Thankfully we never lost power, but houses just 2 blocks away lost power, as did the elementary school up the road. This was the kids' last week of school, but they didn't get power back until today, so no school - they got an early start on summer! Trees were down everywhere. My colleague had his tree fall on his neighbor's house.

Not really sure what to write about, so this will be a mish mash of stuff.

I worked out 4 nights this week! Yeah me! I did 2 nights of cardio kickbox, 1 night of step aerobics, and 1 night of zumba! However I don't think I lost any weight because I ate too many chocolate chip cookies. Then today I made some more cookies - banana oatmeal chocolate chip. Hopefully I'll soon make the diet changes so I can lose 8 pounds. At least in the meantime I'll get more toned. I can already tell my arms are more toned looking.

Oh that is so sad about Tim Russert of NBC. I really liked him.

Hubby started his new job this week at a Japanese company. He likes it so far, although he is having a hard time understanding the Japanese accent of some people. He'll get used to their accent eventually, or maybe he'll learn to speak Japanese. One cool thing is he gets a company car. One bad thing is the benefit coverage of DE IVF is in question. While he was interviewing with this company, the recruiter faxed us a benefits summary showing 50%coverage of IVF including DE. Well the benefits material Tony has brought home show a big fat ZERO for IVF coverage. He gets to choose between 2 health insurance companies. One shows coverage for 50%, not including IVF. The other company shows a big fat zero under the Infertility category. I'm guessing that the recruiter gave us the info for California or some other state. I don't know what is up, but Tony is going to have to call his benefits department. He wants me to just call each insurance company, well I did that a week ago and they wouldn't talk to me because we weren't members yet. They referred me to his company benefits dept. Mr. Tony is going to have to step up and deal with this administrative issue.

We still haven't had any further discussions about our meeting with the counselor. We were going to talk last Sunday, but I was mad at him for something (can't remember now), and then the storms hit. We have to talk in the next 5 days because we have to decide if I'm going to do my mock cycle on CD 1 and that is coming up next week!

I know this was kind of a boring post, but I don't have anything too philosophical to say right now. Uh, I just heard thunder. Oh great - more thunderstorms on the way. Oh and sorry for those of you on Google reader - I think I've updated this blog entry 4 times due to spelling and grammar errors. Sorry.

Al and I are sitting here watching the coverage of Tim Russert's passing. It's so incredibly sad. We watched him every week and he seemed like a friend.
Glad you're back online - uf! I don't know what I would do if I were cut off!
I am so sorry the coverage isn't what you thought it was - how awful! I hope it gets sorted out to your advantage.
Heh. I like that you called him Mr. Tony.

I don't have much going on either, I should probably scrape a post together anyway.

I'm really sad about Tim Russert too, I'm a news junkie and have always liked him.

Good luck with the diet changes, I'm on the same kick, trying to exercise and eat better. I'm still waiting to see changes though.

Nice to hear from you, hope all is well!

Glad you are relatively dry there. We understand water woes in these parts.

Keep up the exercising! I am not seeing weight loss either, but figure the numbers would be going up if I wasn't going to the park.

Post those cookie recipes!

I didn't think it was a boring post...I thought it was very informative. :) Proud of you for all your workouts! Bummer about the medical coverage...that stuff can be a hassle. I hope you end up getting good news. The weather has been sketchy at best, but today seems to be shaping up nicely...reminds me why I love Michigan.

Good to have you back.

Sorry about the insurance coverage. That's really rubbish and I hope it gets sorted.

I'd love your banana oatmeal choc chip cookie recipe. Sounds deelish! I've just made a carrot cake today which was was yummy.
