I've been tagged

I have been tagged by my good friend Tracy, over at Or Life is a Bed of Roses. I've never been tagged before so I guess I'm in virgin territory, ha ha.

The Rules:
1) Link to the person that tagged you.
2) Post the rules on your blog.
3) Share six non-important things/habits/quirks about yourself.
4) Tag at least three people at the end of your post and link to their blogs.
5) Let each person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.
6) Let the fun begin!

Six non-important quirks about me:

1. When I was 6 years old I organized a birthday party for myself in July....only my birthday is not in July. Apparently there were several other neighborhood kids whose birthday parties I had gone to, and I wanted one for myself. So I invited about 6 kids over to my party. They arrived on the day of the party, dressed in fancy clothes and carrying gifts. I took them over to the side of the house and tried to have the party there. However they wanted to go inside. I rang the doorbell and my dad answered and I told him we were going inside for the birthday party. Of course I was busted right then and there so the kids went home with their presents in tow. I had to go over and apologize in person to each of the kids parents, and then I was grounded forever.
2. I am a thumb dancing driver. Ever since I was 16 when I drive and listen to music, my thumbs dance on the steering wheel. I do it subconsciously. It still makes my mom laugh.
3. I ran track and cross country in college, and I placed 3rd in the 800 meter dash in 1987 at the NCJAA (National Junior College Athletic Association Championships). Yes it was junior college, but I still got a medal and stood on the podium! It was the greatest moment of my running career. I also still have one record at my junior college, it is still standing more than 20 years later.
4. I can only sleep well on my right side. I am 80% deaf in my left ear and so when I take out my hearing aid at night and lay down on my good ear, it's so nice and quiet and peaceful.....plus then I can't hear my husband snore.
5. My nose itches a lot so I'm constantly twitching it like Bewitched!
6. For my 19th birthday my friends got me a stripper to celebrate. However I had never seen a man naked at that point, or even partially naked so I "refused" to be the birthday girl. The stripper tried to do his routine by handcuffing me to the chair, but I was mortified when he started gyrating in front of me. My roommate happily volunteered to step in and be the birthday girl. I watched from far away on the couch. Please enjoy these pictures from 20 years ago, and notice my died strawberry red hair and eyebrows. I'm a brunette now.

Okay now I have to tag 3 more people. I tag Erin, and Elaine, and also Lauren

Then I have to end with some other good news! I became an auntie again yesterday. My sister-in-law gave birth to a little boy yesterday. His name is Aiden! Tony and I are going to visit them in the hospital later today.

I loved your birthday story! It made me think back to all the quirky things I did as a kid. Used this for inspiration to my responses. How fun! Thanks for including me!

Aak! I've been tagged. I will certainly respond within a few days, but need to think about this!

Thanks for your well wishes. Have a good, no stress week.

Hi-my list of unimportant things about myself is coming soon--I haven't had much time to write this week yet, but it's coming!

Thanks for the love on my blog!

I just came on over and caught up with your story - the past few weeks have certainly been hard on you, my dear.

I will keep you and your husband in my prayers, and hope that you will soon be more on the same page with ART - or pregnant, so that it doesn't matter! :)

I use to run the 800 meter dash too. I won All Catholic my sophomore year in h.s.
