I met Io in real life!! How cool!!!

Io and I were supposed to drive up to Tracy's house yesterday, but she is hugely pregnant with twins and not feeling well, so Io and I decided to get together nevertheless. We met in this cute, little town called Chelsea.

I only had a drive of about 90 minutes, but Io had to drive nearly 4 hours to see me! I feel so honored and special to know that the beautiful, funny, extremely smart, and wonderful Io would drive all that way to meet me!!! We met at Zou Zou's Cafe for lunch. I had the yummiest grilled cheese, tomato and onion sandwich and tomato with garlic and tortellini soup! Io had a Michigan Cherry Salad Sandwich.....yum!! We had a great time talking and getting to know each other more. It's weird to meet someone in person whom you already know a lot about through blog reading! There wasn't any of that awkwardness that I usually experience upon just meeting someone. I felt like I was talking to my best girlfriend!! Thanks Io. I can't wait to visit you in Indy! Oh and I'm happy to report that Io is not a serial murderer disguised as an infertile blogger!

After lunch we walked around historic Chelsea and enjoyed the adorable shops. I checked out all of the soap and candle competition, and believe me there was a lot! We went into the Chelsea museum and enjoyed looking at pictures of the same buildings more than 100 years ago!

Did you know that Jiffy Mix is made in Chelsea? Well here is the proof - pictures in front of the Jiffy Mix Factory!

Here are some more pictures of our day in Chelsea!

The guy behind Io is a biker in his 70s and Io caught me checking out his skinny, little behind! I had to get a picture of him!

Me eating ice cream, complete with a piece of chocolate stuck in my teeth.

This is a real, live, farm supply store!

For whatever reason I had fun taking pictures of Io taking pictures. Call me weird.

If I ever come back to Chelsea, I want to say at this adorable looking Victorian Bed and Breakfast!

Oh that sounds so much fun! I've only been to Chelsea once, but it was when I was a little kid so I don't remember it much. Looks like you guys had a great time though! That would be funny if you knew my sister. I'll have to email you and see if by chance you do. (I just hate to spill all her beans here online for all to see - since it's not my beans to spill and all :-) Thanks for the birthday wishes!

And I got to meet you!
I am so glad we got together - and Chelsea was the perfect place to go. I'm still disappointed that there was no Jiffy museum though.
