Tuesday Update

Went for my ultrasound and bloodwork yesterday. Tony was even nice enough to drive me at 6:00 AM since we had snow and ice all over the roads. Had a full exam - cervical cultures, breast exam, blood pressure, etc. I guess since it's been a year since my last cycle they had to do that all again. My blood pressure was lower than my recent trip to the Obgyn when it was 155/100. This time it was 133/66 - that first number still seems really high to me. Mom - I hope I'm not developing the dreaded genetic high blood pressure that runs in our family!

Anyway the appointment went great and I started BCPs last night. I also got my IVF schedule.

3/30 - start BCPs
4/13 - continue BCPs, start Lupron 10 units
4/20 - stop BCPs, continue Lupron
4/23 - go in for ultrasound and bloodwork. Start Estrace and drop Lupron to 5 units
4/30 - Donor starts stims

So that means we are looking at an Egg Retrieval around May 12th give or take a day, and hopefully a 5 day transfer around May 15-17.

If this works my baby(babies) will be due in late January 2010!

Your blood pressure numbers (second set) are fine. It is the bottom number you have to worry about. I am getting real excited for this journey you are going on. Maybe you can have the baby on my birthday in January!

I'm so sorry I've been missing your blog posts! You'd think as a private blogger I would know better, but Google Reader wasn't picking up your new posts for me. I'm going to become a follower and see if that changes things.

Exciting that you have a schedule! I can't wait to see how things progress...
