Various

* Anne's surgery is scheduled for October 2nd. Double mastectomy.
* I won't be able to be there for her surgery because I will be in Mexico for work.
* I hope Tony remembers to feed the cats while I'm gone for those 5 days.
* Work is crazy busy right now because the project manager in Europe went out on medical leave unexpectedly and guess who took over her project? You guessed it!
* I am also swamped with my soap business (which is a good thing), but I am slowly delegating more to my new partner and to some new employees we hired. I anticipate by January I'll be able to step back a bit from soap in order to concentrate on baby making.
* Still going round and round with Tony on using an outside, Italian donor. However in his defense, we haven't had any time to sit down and have a thorough conversation. He printed me the profile of a pretty good donor last night, however as I suspected, he has way underestimated her cost. I created a handy, dandy spreadsheet today to show him the $11k difference between a donor at our clinic, versus this donor from sunny California.
* Due to busy-ness, craziness, schedule overload, we've decided not to cycle until at least January. I'd like to secure a donor before then, but don't want to do the transfer until after Christmas. I'm totally okay with this because I feel like I'd have to take a leave of absence from either my job or my business in order to do a cycle, and right now I can't. The good thing with DE, we don't have to be in a major hurry.
* Therefore I'm going on a cruise with my sister-in-law in mid-December, without Tony. I hope I survive, she's 24, will I be able to keep up? We'll see, but even if I have to sleep in and go to bed early, I'm sure I will have a blast since I've never been on a cruise!
* I've lost 2 pounds and intend to lose 5 more. I did yoga this morning, and now I am heading to cardio kickbox this evening. I am also still doing Zumba 1-2 times per week. I feel better already.

Hey, I am so happy I went with the clinicn donor instead of the agency donor. The agency is way more expensive plus I found out that they only screen (psych, genetic)then AFTER I contract with them (i.e. pay a deposit. Then she still had to go thru all the medical screening at my RE's (I have to pay for all of that). The clinic donor has already done all their screening. I'm just waiting for her to get her period and then we go.

Good for you and your fitness regiment. Keep it up.

Great work on the fitness stuff! Good for you on the two pounds! I'm jealous of the cruise you plan to take. I've never been on one either. I hope you eat lots of good food and have a fantastic time!
Thanks for all the well wishes,
Thinking of you, Too!

Whew! Just reading this was a whirlwind. I hope things get less busy soon.
And let Ann know we'll all be thinking of her.

Congrats on the weight loss, and the soap business going well! I know I always say it - but I'll keep Anne in my prayers....

I'm sorry to hear about your friend.

Sounds like otherwise things are going well for you...and that you have some fun things lined up.

Sorry I've been somewhat MIA lately, but I'm still kicking around!

This seemed a good post to catch up on.

I"m so sorry about Anne. I can't imagine how she must be feeling but also how hard it is on all of you. A close friend here has been fighting breast cancer (aged 39) this year and you feel very helpless to do much. I'll be thinking of her.

Well done on the weight loss - always makes you feel great.

The cruise sounds fab. I'd love to try out a cruise but Mr G would never do it with me. If I want to do it i'd have to do like you and go with a friend. I hope it's great.

DE news is exciting. I hope you get your donor sorted soon.

Thinking of you, PP xx
