Getting Ready for Fun tonight!

I took today off from work, went and got my hair styled and a pedicure, and shortly I'll be checking into the Royal Park hotel for a fun night with Anne and also our friend Suzanne! I'll write all about it tomorrow or Sunday.

Tony took me to dinner on Tuesday and it was very yummy, although in true Tony fashion, nothing went as planned. Tony wanted to take me to a new restaurant in Troy called Ocean Prime, so we pulled into the parking lot, but it was jam packed. Not only were there a lot of cars, but the cars were mostly Cadillacs, Bentleys, Mercedes, and more. We saw a few people walking in and they were all dressed up. Tony never plans ahead, and so he hadn't made a reservation. We didn't want to wait an hour and Tony felt he should've had on a jacket, so away we drove. How sad. I told him that I would make a reservation for our anniversary on Nov. 4th at Ocean Prime. We ended up nearby at another seafood restaurant that was very nice - McKormick and Schmicks. I had a yummy salmon stuffed with garlic cream and pesto. Hmmmm delicious!

In addition to not planning ahead Tony has difficulty shopping for gifts. One year he gave me an IOU on a piece of paper for a cruise in my birthday card. I was all excited thinking we were going on a cruise - well 3 years later I'm still waiting to go on that cruise. So the other night we are sitting at dinner and he tells me he looked for some earrings the night before but didn't find any he liked. Okay thanks for trying! So he tells me that his present is that he is paying for my hotel stay and dinner with Anne. I'll take it!! Woohoo. I think we'll have to get a really nice bottle of wine tonight courtesy of my handsome hubby!

Oh a good book that I recommend to everyone who is in a relationship - the Five Love Languages . Excellent book. I read it 7 years ago and it was very helpful.

Tony and Charlie seemed to have gone to the same school of romance, except I am not sure Charlie ever graduated! It's every day that matters, not just the "occasions." And from what you say, Mr. Tony's doing just fine.

Happy birthday, Kelly. Live it up.

Happy birthday! (late, I know).

But may I ask how your birthday present is that he'll pay for a hotel room? Aren't you married so that really isn't a present, now is it? Tell him to keep shopping until he finds earrings he likes!! :)

Have a wonderful time tonight!!!
