Snow

We are getting the most "beautiful" snow storm in Michigan right now. The snowflakes are big and fluffy. Too bad I need to drive in it later today to buy my turkey!

Update on Grandma - she was stable enough to perform surgery late last week. Good thing because she moved her leg in the middle of the night and broke her hip even more. They performed a partial hip replacement on her. She is stable and was able to eat a bit yesterday. The nurses have to get her up three times per day to move her hip and she screams in pain. My dad is having a hard time with that. When she is in bed, her pain is not bad. My dad thinks she is losing her will, but who knows. If she continues to improve, they will move her back to the nursing home later this week. I'm very proud of my dad for the good job he is doing supporting his mother, my grandma. Thanks for all of your kind words last week!

We have a donor update, but I'm too busy at work to take the time to write it down. Suffice it to say we are having difficulty deciding on one because we have a few that we like. I've even found a couple on my own, not through an agency.

My soap and candle business is in high gear for the holidays! We are slammed with orders! Yippeeee!!! If any of you need some neat gifts, check out our website - www.backyardsoaps.com. I put a bunch of new gift basket pictures on the website last week. Sorry for the shameless plug, but I do think our products are awesome. Our candles are super cool. The pictures on the website do not do them justice.

Have a great day everyone!

Sounds like a great time for you...good business, too many donors to choose from, and your grandma is a fighter.

Happy Thanksgiving, Kelly. Can't wait to hear about a big Italian meal!

I'm glad Grandma was able to have the surgery. And ugh ... I can imagine how hard it was for your Dad to see his mom in pain.

As for the donor update ... awesome that you guys have choices! Can't wait to hear from it.

And totally glad that your soap and candle business is rockin!

Yeah, I love snow for about ten minutes and then I hate it.

I hope your dad has a better time dealing with his mom in pain - it must be really hard on him and I hope he finds the strength to keep supporting her the way he wants.

As for the bounty of donors and soap orders - awesome :)
