This is my baby and I am a damn good cat mom that is for sure. He's doing about as well as can be expected after major surgery. If I am never a mom of humans so be it, but I will always be a cat mom. Hopefully Guido will be around for at least another 8-10 years now that he's been fixed up by Dr. Steep at Oxford Veterinary Hospital. He's the best vet I've ever been to. I'm so grateful to him for saving my baby's life. They say that cats have 9 lives, but this is actually Guido's 3rd or 4th life that he's used up.
- He almost died as a 12 week old kitten from an allergic reaction to the rabies/distemper vaccine. He had to go to the ER doctor in the middle of the night when that happened. Thankfully the rescue that I got him from paid for that $800 vet bill.
- Then he got stung on the nose by a bee and his face swelled up like a balloon, so off to the vet we went.
- Then when he was 2.5 he developed bladder stones and was about 24 hours away from death, but thankfully didn't have a total urinary tract block and the vet was able to cure him with anti-biotics.
- He had 6 good years until the last 2 months when he used up another life. I just pray now that he's lost 7 pounds (he was obese to start with), that we can start a healthier period and he will thrive for the next several years. As Tarzan says, now we have to get our money's worth out of him. I'm so thankful that Tarzan wasn't mad about the vet bill. He's actually taking baby steps towards becoming an animal lover. I'm so proud of my husband!

Poor guy....hope he slows down on using those 9 lives! Glad the vet was able to fix him up.
Your cats are just gorgeous! That Rascal is so striking!
I'm sorry about all the complications with the IF stuff. The cost really is a lot in so many ways.
