I'm taking the train to Chicago on Friday night, then Tarzan and I are driving 2.5 hours to Iowa on Sunday to meet AB, her husband and her 2 year old daughter. Let's hope that we all like each other in person and we can seal the deal! I've spoken to a couple of lawyers too. One spent 10 minutes trying to convince me to do gestational surrogacy (GS) instead of traditional surrogacy (TS) so that annoyed me. The other lawyer was much sharper and she told me to see how Sunday goes with meeting AB and then to call her on Monday. Since I'll be in Chicago next week we may be able to schedule our in-person consultation with her to get the ball rolling. I'm playing phone tag with the clinic in Waterloo, IA who will do the IUIs. Hopefully I talk to them today.
Tarzan again asked me to respond to other surrogate ads so we can get surrogate #2 rolling. I told him to hold his horses that we aren't doing anything until we meet AB on Sunday. It just cracks me up - for years he has been soooooooooooo slow about taking whatever next step we were taking, and now he's trying to rush me.

Can't wait to hear how it goes! I get annoyed with people trying to change my mind too...especially once I've already made up my mind and probably know more about the situation than they do...ugh!
