Lupron starts up again

I ended up having a great weekend and the tears were held at bay. Saturday's graduation party was fun - got to see some friends as well as my family - mom, sis, niece and cousin. Sunday's graduation party was also a blast and the weather was gorgeous. It's amazing what nice weather does for one's mood. On Sunday we got to see how the other half live. Well more like the top 2% is it? Tony's cousins are wealthy with a capital W, so the party was at their 7000 square foot mansion in a gated community. Their house is one of the smaller ones, we drove around and saw some other houses that are flippin castles - 15,000 square feet castles. Wow doesn't do it justice. Aretha Franklin lives in there, as well as some of the Detroit Piston's. The Lion's coach lived there too, but he got fired after their 0-16 season last year and moved to Chicago. The party was outside in their backyard - they had a tent and gorgeous linen covered tables, catered bar and food, etc. Their patio was bigger than my front yard - gorgeous stone, flowers everywhere. Inside was my dream home - huge dining room (that's one of my must haves in my next house), crystal chandeliers everywhere, artwork that should be in a museum, carved stonework, stunning window treatments, a kitchen to die for, hardwood floors everywhere with beautiful rugs in strategic places. That is one thing Tony and I both say - we hate carpet on the first floor - we have both carpet and hard wood all throughout our first floor. If we are here in 10 years that carpet is coming out when it gets nasty and it's being replaced with either hardwood or tile. I really think I would have made a great "rich person" haha.

Anyway apart from me dreaming about living there, the party was fun - we got to see Tony's cousins and extended relatives most of whom we hadn't seen in almost a year. We were there for 8.5 hours! The party just kept going and going and going. I made my rounds and had meaningful conversations with everyone and ate too much of course. Their next son graduates in two years so there will be another party - I'll make sure that is on my calendar! I won't miss another trip to the mansion! haha.

Lupron starts tonight, so the cycle is starting again. Woohoo!

Yay for starting, and an even bigger yay for the good time you had yesterday! Wish I could see that house...

I used to work for a company in Ls Angeles, and the President of the company had a party at his mansion overlooking the Pacific Ocean. This house was amazing...had a GIFT WRAPPING ROOM and a suite for the dogs complete with dog nannies. Yes, that's right. PLURAL nannies. HUGE wine cellar, guest house (naturally), tennis courts, gorgeous pool. It was Tuscany style, so you guys would have loved it. I still regret not taking my camera and sneaking pictures of the place. :)

Wow sounds like a gorgeous house, sounds like my dream house for sure. I would love my house even more if it would just come with a maid!!!!

Yay! So glad you had a fun day! Wow! Must be nice to be so well off...but then again, sometimes I think when you don't get everything you want, you appreciate what you have a tad more! (that's my way of making myself feel better about pinching pennies...ha ha!)

Sorry about the tough night the other night. I hate going to events like that. Even if I'm doing just fine with the no-kids thing at the moment, being surround by families just drags me down. Remember you can come hang out with Mike and I anytime! We promise we wont be talking about diapers and T-ball games!

Seriously though, we need to get together the 4 of us! Maybe in a week or two once I finish my first set of classes! We could have you over to our humble abode, I should probably mention it is not 15,000 square feet. Hope that's ok! ;) Ha Ha!

Hugs!

You are the best, Kelly. Make me smile. Thinking about you. Get. In lots of wine and soft cheeses before they are off limits soon! ;-)

Hope the lupron doesn't through you on the emotional rollercoaster! It doesn't seem to bother me at all, which is great of course.

Sounds like you had a delightful weekend, and you're starting the cycle (for sure this time) and everything is going well! Good luck -

Your weekend sounds great.

I'm not at all materialistic, but the odd bit of luxury always goes down well.

So much luck with this cycle. I never remember which drug Lupron is as our drugs have different brand names. Is it the menopause-giver?
