Awake in the middle of the night and Weird Dreams

It's 1:40 am on Saturday night and I woke up two hours ago after three hours of blissful sleep. Now I'm wide awake. I really have to get to the bottom of this insomnia thing. I think it might have to do with lack of exercise. I used to go to yoga three times per week - and not the easy classes, the kick-your-butt classes. Well when we did our IVF cycle in October, I stopped going. I've only been back once since and so although I want to blame the insomnia on the Dhea supplement, I think it's a combination of things. This week I really need to get back to yoga - even just a couple of times! So while I was laying in bed I did some praying, I did some deep breathing, but my mind kept wandering so I finally got up. I ate a bowl of cereal and caught up on some blog reading.

I had a funny dream the other night. I dreamt that we used an egg donor for our next IVF cycle, but she only produced 2 follicles! I was saying to my hubby in my dream - "see even 25 year olds can have bad eggs!". Too funny!

Later today (Sunday) my hubby and I were going to go Christmas shopping and then to watch the Rochester Parade, but we are also in the middle of a wicked storm right now. I'm listening to the wind howl and the ice fall on top of the few inches of snow that fell a few hours ago. It's supposed to turn all to rain later this morning, so I'm pretty certain that we will not be going to the parade in this weather. Bummer, it's such a nice parade in a beautiful downtown.

I think I should start writing down my prayers to God. I have so much to pray about, not only for my life, but for many others I know too.

Okay well since the heat is turned down to 62 and I am now freezing in my office, I'm going to go hug my cats for a while. Eventually I'll fall asleep again and and least I can sleep in today!

Sorry you're still struggling with insomnia. I did too, and exercise definitely helped.

That's funny you had a dream about egg donors...did you read my blog before you went to bed? ;)

Hi! Thanks for visiting my blog. I hope you're able to get a handle on the insomnia. I know that than be really difficult.
About writing down your prayers--I've done this for years and it really helps me stay focused. I'm bad about getting distracted, even if there are tons of things I need/want to pray about. For me, writing it down helps me to keep things together.
(By the way, since my blog is at wordpress instead of blogger, I can't link my name here in the comments to my blog.)
