Death in the Family and Spirit Babies

I'm over my moodiness. It came and went throughout the weekend, but we still had a good time on our day trips. I was actually going to go to Chicago with Tony for the week, but we had to come home instead because his aunt passed away. It is very sad because up until a couple of months ago she was the picture of health - very active, fit and only in her early 70s I think. She contracted pneumonia a couple of months ago and just couldn't get better. Well we just found out today that she had undiagnosed bone cancer that had spread everywhere which explains why she couldn't recover from the pneumonia. Apparently we are not to mention the cancer to anyone. I absolutely do not understand the secrecy in Tony's family when people die. Why is it a secret what someone dies of? Can anyone shed any light on that for me because I do not understand it. I told Tony that when I die, he is to tell everyone how and why I died. Tony actually doesn't understand it either, but that's how the older generation in his family is. Everything is a big secret.

I've decided to get over my lust for having my own cottage on the lake for now. I did decide that next summer I'm renting a cottage for a week and Tony can come if he wants to. Otherwise my mom, sister, nieces and nephew can enjoy it with me. In the grand scheme of things our vacation incompatibility is not the end of the world and I can resolve it by planning my own vacations.

I've been reading a fabulous book called "Spirit Babies: How to Communicate with the Child You're Meant to Have ". It is very "out-there and new-agey", but it is also very thought provoking and enjoyable. The author who is a clairvoyant was raised Catholic and he first realized that he could see things that others could not while sitting in mass. He could see angels in the church, and could also see a gold glow around the bread/wine when the priest was changing them into the body/blood of Christ. It is a fascinating read and the author clearly believes in past-lives and re-incarnation. For all of my Catholic and non-denominational Christian friends who are reading this blog post and thinking I'm off my rocker - please do not worry. I am Catholic and believe in/am saved by Christ, however I have always been open to spirituality and the various paths to divinity. I love reading about anything spiritual - it fascinates me. I believe we are physical, emotional and spiritual beings and there are many paths that lead to the same God or Divine. Call me weird, but I'm open to learning about those other paths. Besides do any of us "really know" what happens after we die? No, we don't know, we just think we know and we live by whatever faith we have.

Anyway so back to this book. The author has made a career out of helping couples communicate with their spirit babies before they are conceived. He offers exercises to connect with your spirit baby and help it decide to come into your life. He addresses infertility, adoption, and even abortion. He talks about how in some cases the spirit baby feels held back by something and needs to be re-assured before making the leap into the womb. I know I'm not doing the book justice at all, but it was a wonderful read and honestly I'm going to do the exercises and see if I can connect to my spirit baby - if there is one. Heck I've tried everything else, so why not open myself up energetically as I get closer to the FET and hope for the best? If anyone else has read the book I'd love to hear your thoughts.
