Actually I get no insurance....however Tarzan may be getting a job offer, so there is hope!!

Okay that is probably too long of a title. I have determined that I get 0, nada, zilch infertility coverage under my new HP benefits in January. Why is that? Well because when I read the $10,000 lifetime maximum, it has been clarified as $5000 for meds and $5000 for medical procedures, and I've maxed out both of those on my EDS insurance. Therefore it is up to Tarzan to get some new insurance when he gets a new job.....which is looking very promising.

He had a 3rd and final interview this morning for a Quality Engineer job at a company in Grand Rapids, MI who make tools that measure paint. The good news is that it is not an automotive industry job - sure the company does make tools that the automotive companies use, but their tools are also sold to hundreds of other companies - any company who manufactures anything with color could use these tools. It is 2 hours from our house so Tarzan will have to rent an apartment and come home on the weekends. Since I am mobile with my job I can go work there for a few days as well. We are not selling our house unless he really likes this job and sees himself staying there for many years. I doubt we could even consider moving unless he were there for 1-2 years. We'll deal with it. However, it's better than Alabama where he also had an interview yesterday. He has one in Chicago on Friday and has one in Indiana lined up too. So fingers crossed he will get a job soon. If he gets one that doesn't have any infertility coverage I suppose we should seriously look at the Shared Risk program with our clinic where you pay for 2 DE cycles, but you get 3 Fresh and 3 frozen cycles and if it doesn't work you get 100% of the money back (for the IVF part, it doesn't count all of the ultrasounds, bloodwork, etc.).

Keeping my fingers crossed for Tarzan. My husband and i did the distance thing for about 8 months once and then 6 weeks another time. I was hard, but with web cams and skipe you can talk to him and see him these days!

Wow. I hope he gets the job! But 2 hours away? :~( That'd be hard.

And LAME ASS on the insurance. Lifetime max of $10k? That's NOTHING! What lame lame lame people. Sorry hun. The shared risk program does sound good though.

Hey, did you know your blog doesn't allow feeds? You aren't in my reader because of it.

I wanted to thank you for the nice things you wrote about me yesterday on my blog. It was so nice to see such a nice comment and I really wanted you to know how much I appreciated it!

Wow - hoping things work out with Tarzan's new job. And that you will be ok with him being TWO HOURS away! Argh. The internet has made things way easier (communication-wise), and hopefully he'll get primo insurance. Good luck!
