Good news on Donor #2

Potential Donor #2 went for her CD3 testing this morning and the nurse just called me to say she passed with flying colors. She had a great antral follicle count and her hormones were all normal. Yippee!! Now she'll go back and have blood work drawn for the genetic and disease testing. I didn't want to pay for all of that today in case she didn't pass the CD3, but she did! She's also going to meet with our doctor, so he can explain the entire process - we should've done that first, but she had exams last week that she had to focus on. She should be able to meet with him this week or next, and it will probably take 1-2 weeks to get the disease/genetic testing results back.

Donor #1 still hasn't started her period and honestly I'm hoping she doesn't because although I really liked donor #1, the irregular periods and miscarriage concern me. Donor #2 has regular periods and has a 16 month old child who is cute as a button. If donor #2 passes the rest of her tests we definitely want to proceed with her. Fingers crossed and prayers sent!

That is great news about Donor #2, such a relief to have a proven (in the sense of she's been pg) donor! Best of luck -
